#61.    Sound of Music

Front view

The hills are alive...

...with the sound of music

Rear view

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
Bright copper kettles, and warm woollen mittens,
Handbags with pictures of some nun who sings,
These are a few of my favorite things . . .

At last! A purse for every girl who wanted to grow up to be a scatterbrained nun who seeks out little blond children to teach songs about goat herders, thereby defeating the Nazis.

(I never saw 'Sound of Music' as a child, only as a bitter film student. It sort of changed my perception of it. Can you tell?)

Our second Oscar-winning Oscar night purse debut, this bag uses two slightly different versions of the film soundtrack album, both with Julie Andrews skipping joyously over a hill with kids in the background, both missing the part of the film's poster with Christopher Plummer looking furious. (I'm still not sure why - he isn't really the movie's villain!)

The purse measures 8" x 9" x 4" and features bead closure and vinyl handle.

SOLD!

But there's good news. We take custom orders, so if you have two albums you're dying to have made into a handbag or messenger bag, click here or if you want in on our incredibly infrequent mailing list (which will let you know when new purses are added), click here.
